These juicy homemade burgers get an extra depth of savoury flavour from Dr. Coy’s Organic Beef Bouillon, making them perfect for a summer barbecue or family dinner 😋

Ingredients (Serves 4)
- 500g good-quality minced beef (ideally 15-20% fat)
- 1 tsp Dr. Coy’s Organic Beef Bouillon
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 medium onion, very finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
- fresh ground black pepper
- 4 burger buns
- your favourite toppings (lettuce, tomato, pickles, haloumi, red onion etc!)
Method
- In a large bowl, combine the minced beef, Dr. Coy’s Organic Beef Bouillon, Worcestershire sauce, finely chopped onion, egg, parsley and a generous twist of black pepper
- Mix gently with your hands until just combined. Avoid overworking the meat as this can make burgers tough.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions (approximately 140g each)
- Using your GEFU burger press, shape each portion into a burger patty. Place on a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to an help them hold their shape during cooking.
- Heat a barbecue, grill pan or frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Cook the burgers for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked to your preferred doneness. If adding cheese place it on top during the final minute of cooking. We love grilling haloumi in the pan and having as a separate topping.
- Lightly toast the burger buns and assemble with your chosen toppings.
Dr. Coy’s Tip:
For an extra flavour boost, spread a little caramelised onion relish on the bun and top with mature cheddar. The rich savoury notes form the Organic Beef Bouillon pair beautifully with both. Enjoy! 🍔
